The apartment has great views over Marsamxett harbour toward Sliema. Its situated on the 2nd floor of the block but has its own secure front door on the street at ground level. Inside is everything you could need - good sized kitchen with breakfast bar; nice big sofa; comfy bed towards the back of the apartment (away from any street noise); spacious shower room.
Lucianne was extremely helpful both before booking and when we arrived. She offered to arrange a taxi from the airport for us, which I glad we we accepted. Although it cost €20 (rather than the standard €15 for a white taxi) it was worth it because the driver knew how to find the apartment and you avoided the queues at the airport to first buy a taxi ticket and then get in a taxi. The driver Joram also knew how to avoid the apparent gridlock on leaving the airport! We didn't have any problems during our stay, but I got the impression Lucianne would have sorted them out straight away. She allowed us to have a late checkout and we were able to leave our cases in the apartment even longer until our pick up time. Really great service!
With the apartment being on the edge of Valletta it meant an uphill walk to get into the centre. By the most direct route it was a few tens of steps then a gentle slope 5 to 10 minutes to a large number of bars and restaurants.
It was a great base to explore Malta from as you were a 15 minute walk to the bus station, from which everywhere on the island is under an hour away. I recommend the €15 12-journey cards (which can be shared, you just have to tap it for each person). Its valid for unlimited travel within a two hour period which the bus system calculates automatically, so you can change buses but pay only one fare (or go somewhere and come back within two hours).
We didn't hire a car but if we had parking nearby would have been tricky, but this seems to be true for most central locations in Valletta. There were spaces out front early and late on, but not often during the middle of the day.
Overall, great apartment in a good location with a great host.
Beautiful apartment with spectacular view of harbor, well situated for roaming in Valletta. Host, Lucianne, could not have been more helpful or friendly.
A light airy and spacious apartment with a wonderful view of the harbour. The apartment is well equipped, slightly worn in places and the TV needs updating. These are minor points compared to all the great things about the apartment. Access is by two flights of stairs and getting to the city centre is also via steep steps so this is a consideration if you have mobility difficulties. Having said that Valletta is an old city and few concessions are made for mobility and often this is just impossible. We love Malta and Valletta and had a great holiday. This apartment suited us well and we will return.
Luciana was exceptionally welcoming and helpful and is a real asset for the owner of the apartment.
We stayed in this Valletta apartment for one week in March. All arrangements were handled professionally and Lucianne proved to be a welcoming hostess.
Good location with sweeping views over the water towards Sliema. Just 15 minutes walk, albeit up many steps, to the bus station with access all over Malta.
Apartment was comfortable and well equipped.
There was cold and windy weather whilst we were there, and the heating is provided by room AC units, never quite as satisfactory as radiator based central heating.
Unusually, electricity was metered and charged extra, although this is mentioned in the website details.
As we were staying in February we wanted somewhere we would be happy to spend time in if the weather wasn't so good. This was a good choice. It's spacious and comfortable with lovely views. We enjoyed leisurely breakfasts watching the boats & enjoying the view before spending the day exploring Valletta & the surrounding area. It's a good location - short walk to the bars & restaurants but in a quiet location. I'd recommend trying the soup & sandwich at The Undercroft just up the steps from the apartment.
