Beautiful old farmhouse with traditional features, relaxing and comfortable. Close to town square with lovely dining restaurants. A real home from home. Only negatives would be the pool was to cold to use would have been great if it was heated and limited TV channels (2).

This is a lovely old and quirky house with a charming feel to it and a spectacular pool ares. Giuseppe could not have been more helpful, delivering the key to our hotel in Sliema and regularly checking on our welfare and contentedness.
Jackie and Giuseppe were very helpful and met us on our arrival with a grand tour and some places that they suggested we visit.
The farmhouse was perfect for a family holiday with two teenagers. The house opens up from a little white door (on the bend of a little back street in Xaghra) into a lobby that leads off to beautifully restored rooms. The bedrooms are all wide apart (two that you access by going out of the property ...up stone steps to separate balconies) which my 17 year old son loved. His was accessed from the rear of the property outside the kitchen and above the lounge. It overlooked the pool (compact but 2.5metres deep at the deep end) whilst our bedroom was accessed from the front lobby and featured a balcony with two reinforced glass panels allowing a view to the charming hall downstairs.
Three bathrooms and a cloakroom meant no fighting over the showers, and the rustic kitchen allowed us to prepare simple suppers when we didn't feel like going out. The BBQ was useful, too.
We had one small issue with a leakage that was dealt with efficiently and promptly.
It is easy to walk into Xaghra to get groceries and wifi, but we enjoyed a number of evenings at the traditional pizzeria/bread restaurant called Ta Furnar which is only 15 minutes walk from Ta Peppi. We did use a hire car to explore Gozo and loved the beach at San Blas and snorkelling at the Azure Window.
If I had to comment on anything I would suggest that visitors take earplugs as the summertime Festa fireworks and next door's cockerel were both frequent throughout the night (although added to the authenticity of our farmhouse retreat) and perhaps the beds need updating... Both double beds have MDF instead of slats under the mattresses so are very hard, and conversely the two single beds joined together as a king in the main bedroom are very very soft.. But none of these affected the fact that we had a fantastic family holiday in the gorgeous town ofXagrha where everyone was friendly and welcoming.
We would like to thank Jackie and Giuseppe for their warmth, advice and a lovely stay in Gozo.
