What a wonderful location in Xaghar to take a well earned break. The home is very comfortable and the pool a refreshing delight for young and old alike. Restaurants in Xaghar itself are just delightful and the village boasts some lovely attractions. Close to everything and everywhere, lovely bays and beaches close by to go exploring and Victoria is only a few km's away.
This is a fantastic property in a peaceful location and most definitely has the WOW factor!
The farmhouse has been tastefully and respectfully brought up to date with all mod cons leaving a wealth of historic original features, making it not only beautiful but so interesting too. The owner leaves a folder with an interesting, detailed record of the property and the surrounding area, which is an absolute must to read if you have a few spare moments whilst staying here.
The property has been fitted with high quality furnishings and appliances with an eye for detail that accentuate the history of the farmhouse, but with all the modern comforts of home...plus some!
With lots of indoor space for the family with intriguing nooks and crannies, the jewel in the crown is the fabulous outside garden area, complete with its own pool and annexe building. At night time, when lit, this is even more beautiful. A lovely relaxing area after a busy day sightseeing.
We had a fabulous stay in this beautiful property that felt like home, not just a holiday let. It offers excellent value for money, in the perfect location to see the very best Gozo has to offer and fantastic weather - what more could anyone want!
The owner Ginette was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with - we can't wait to visit again.
My family had a lovely stay at Ginette's beautiful house in Xaghra. The facilities are spot on and the heated pool was appreciated by all the family, even with an air temperature in the mid 30's. The secure and very private courtyard housing the pool and BBQ area is perfect for late afternoon and evening get togethers and family chats... and the neighbours were simply great too.
Ta' Marija is highly recommended, as is the little town of Xaghra with its superb restaurants and fantastic ancient 5000+ year old Ggantija temples - both only a few minutes walk away from Ta' Marija.
Access to Victoria (Rabat) and the Citadel is easy and most coastal beaches and sights are only a short distance away. Hire a car and cross to Malta for a great day out then return to Gozo for sanity and peace. Perfect.
My Father and I stayed here and just loved it. Beautiful peaceful property with everything needed laid on by the lovely owners who were so helpful and friendly. Gorgeous kitchen. Lovely furniture in beautiful garden area by the pool. Very central for Xaghra square few mins away, we loved to sit out there at night and it was buzzing with friendliness. There was a PlayStation games and books in the farmhouse. Only reason wouldn't give a five is no air conditioning but big fans are provided. It wouldn't stop me going back and we are looking to book again this year.
Having stayed here before a few years ago, it was great to be back at the house and see the changes that Ginette & Barry have made. Even though we came for a short break we felt relaxed and chilled out in the amazing surroundings and facilities that the house offers.
Everything was perfect and it made the stay more enjoyable with all the information which is on offer. The weather was perfect high enough in the 20's to feel it on you and it made the views in and around Gozo awesome especially on a clear day down at the Azure Window and Inland Sea.
Thankyou once again Ginette & Barry, you have a great place here in Gozo its a real gem on the island.
