“Amazing house, beautiful location, very friendly owner!”

My family and I stayed in Carol's house back in April this year. It is huge and incredibly impressive. The location is fantastic - it's a lovely little town in the centre of some fantastic vineyards.

The wine of this area is outstanding - of note, the St Jean de Minervois Muscat is well worth tasting. We visited a number of places around the area during our stay. I would particularly recommend the medieval mountain village of Minerve, which is beautiful!

The people of Cruzy are very friendly - one of the locals invited us around to his house for wine and cheese on two occasions! It made for a memorable experience!

Overall, I couldn't hesitate to recommend staying at this house. Carol was very friendly and helpful throughout the booking process, the house itself is incredible, both in size and location! If you want a traditional and authentic French experience, stay here! I wish Carol a lot of success with this rental, but hope that it doesn't become too popular (so that I can come back and experience this gem again and again!).

“Beautiful House Great Value!”

I travelled to Cruzy as part of a group of 10 friends in the summer of 2012. We were amazed to find this huge house all to ourselves! The house was extremely comfortable with 5 double bedrooms, a lovely bathroom and interesting original features. We enjoyed a candle-lit dinner in the vast loft space with views across the rolling vinyards. The house is beautiful outside and in and we found it a great base to explore the region from, followed by relaxing with great food and the best wine! The town of Cruzy is wonderfully friendly, with a bar, butchers, two bakeries and a general store- also a fantastic public tennis court! The area immediately around the house is great for picnics, walks etc. Half an hour drive from the sea and half an hour from the stunning Montagne Noire for climbing, trekking and with rivers and lakes for canoeing. Carcassone, Narbonne, Beziers and Montpellier are all worth a visit and we would recommend a good day exploring the coastline. All in all, great experience for adventure seekers, groups of friends, or simply those wanting to breathe in the Southern French air. Unrivalled value- we will be returning!
