Nice apartment in the middle of Reykjavik, we could mail/call Sue and Berglind if we had questions. We had a great time visiting blue lagoon, buggy ride, snorkeling at Silfra, geysir and gulfoss and we went to the museum of the vulcano which erupted in 2010
Stayed 3 nights on our way to Europe. Our arrival and getting the keys, etc...went very smoothly (even though we arrived aroun 1am). Communication with Susan was wonderful and all instructions easy to understand. The apartment is fantastic and stocked with everything you could need. The location is great (very quiet, but also close to everything). Highly recommend this apartment!!!
This apartment was one of my all-time favorite lodging choices! It was a lovely, spacious apartment with lots of windows and views of the sunset, tastefully decorated and close to everything! If I lived in the city, I would want this apartment. The pictures represent what it actually looks like - it's somehow better in person.
The owners were easy to work with and very responsive. The only thing that was somewhat unsettling was the payment process, but given the feedback on TA, I had to let those fears go!
Also, the key pick up was interesting, but we pulled it off without a hitch. Make sure you ask questions about this in advance.

We initially chose this apartment because he photos looked great and then made up our mind because the owner was easy to contact, quick to respond to our queries and generally extremely helpful. We were a little cautious about sending money to an unknown bank account out of the UK but the owner gave us references and it was all fine. The apartment was lovely - clean, spacious and comfortable. Don't be put off by the grotty communal staircase: once you open the door the apartment is airy and bright. We didn't do any cooking as we were out all day but the kitchen looked very well equipped. The bathroom was roomy and the shower was great. The wifi worked well. It was a great location for walking around the centre of town. I would recommend it highly. One piece of advice if going in the summer would be to take a sleep mask if you are easily woken by sunlight as the black out blinds in the bedroom were not able to shut out all the light- especially when the sun rises at 3am!
I wasn't sure what to expect on our family holiday in Reykjavik. I certainly didn't expect it to be as lovely as it turned out to be. (We arrived on the same day as the returning football team - what a great atmosphere!)
It's pretty hard to imagine a better apartment. When we walked in, we all agreed we wished we owned this place. It's beautifully decorated, generously sized and in the *perfect* location. Only wrinkle was a problem picking up the keys, but that got sorted out quickly. Thanks, Heimir, for being at the end of the phone!
Iceland isn't cheap (especially if you use post-brexit pounds!) so having a place with a nice kitchen, close to 24 hour shops, is a real boon too. Highly recommended.
