The hotel was very nice, the location is great. Lobby and common areas are really good and with Inspirational decoration. Was an overall good experience. At the restaurant there was live music and good food.

We stayed here for 2 nights while attending the annual Suzuki midnight run. It’s a very culturally “Icelandic” hotel right by the water. The rooms were small but cozy. It does not have the flair of an international hotel chain but the charm of the local sensibility all throughout the hotel. It’s a bit dated. The hotel is also very accessible to all transportation hubs. Note that taxis are very expensive in Iceland so they have a very sophisticated bus system. Do not take a taxi here from the airport! Use the bus company that stops at all the hotels including the marina.

Fairly large hotel with a boutique, chic feel. My wife and I were here with friends and enjoyed our stay. Slippbarinn, the restaurant downstairs does a great breakfast, even if pricey, and fantastic lunch/dinner. The hotel features an on-premise theater with big comfy seats, which was fun, especially to watch the world cup. The location is walkable to many restaurants and bars and the bus to the Blue Lagoon picks up right outside. While there isn't onsite parking, street parking is available and there is a dirt lot one can use a short walk away. The room itself was clean, very soft and comfortable bed (though if you like a firm mattress, this is not for you). The toilet and shower are in one room and our drain seemed like it hadn't been cleaned in a while so if the shower was turned on full pressure, the floor tended to flood... The TV didn't function and the "black out" shades didn't stop the sunlight around the clock. Minor details for weary travelers used to spending more time outside their room than in it but for the price, kind of expected more. Would we stay here again? Yeah probably, but would be curious to see what else is out there first.

Room Tip: Ask for a room off the main street or risk hearing vehicles and the party crowd

The rooms are a bit on the cramped side. Bathrooms are very cramped. Lobby is nice and bar/restaurant is nice. One word of warning there is an active repair yard right next to the hotel. You may be woken up quite early because of the activity.

"Stranded in Reykjavik" with no idea what to expect and this hotel property made it an amazing experience! After our flight home was canceled, Icelandair put us up in their incredibly unique hotel property right on the harbor. You don't really have to leave this hotel to experience a lot of what Iceland is all about, however this hotel is so convenient to the water and the downtown area, you will definitely make time to explore!

The hotel is one of the most neat, tidy, and eclectic properties I've ever stayed on. There is a fantastic breakfast offered each morning and a great bar/restaurant for very delicious lunches and dinners (as well as GREAT Cocktails!). There is a gym, a movie theatre, a library/study area, and tons of other common spaces to read, relax, lounge or make friends.

The room was the best! The walk-in/open shower was a much-needed reward after a day of traveling in from the Netherlands. It was a much more spacious room than I expected with comfortable furniture and a balcony overlooking the harbor. The bed and the room in general was just super comfortable.

I LITERALLY HAD THE BEST NIGHT'S SLEEP at this hotel! (You know - when you lay down and the next thing you remember is waking up 8 hours later!? Yeah, THAT GOOD).

There's a lot to see and experience and enjoy in Reykjavik, Iceland, but this hotel is on the list of reasons to come back!

Room Tip: Try to stay on the harbor side
