Loved this museum - we spent several hours here since it was a rainy day. My kids were fascinated with the exhibits and primarily we went to see the ice cave since they weren't old enough to go on an excursion. It was great. We also ate at the restaurant which was lovely.

A little of the normal walking track, but well worth a visit, very informative about volcanos, glaciers, and Icelandic fauna and flora. Great view from top. Ice cave is amazing.

The Perlan Museum on the outskirts of Reykavik is well worth a visit. The exhibitions are modern and interactive and staff are friendly. The ice cave is a brilliant experience although very cold! Kids would love it! There are many exhibitions where you can learn about the many interesting and amazing geographical features of Icelands landscape.

I went to Perlan because it looked pretty neat on the outside and decided to get a ticket for the inside. It was kind of neat for a few learning facts and the somewhat real ice cave, but there's a lot more in Iceland to see and do that I don't think this is necessarily a must do.

Thank you, Kris, for sharing your experience with us.

Did you enjoy our new spectacles? They bring countless Wonders of Iceland alive like never before - through ground-breaking technology, design, science & photography. We offer augmented reality entertainment, virtual reality & more immersive experiences.

Our real ice cave is made from 350 tons of Icelandic ice & ash - replicating a glacier more than anything else. Our high-tech, interactive glacier exhibition is also unique.

This winter 2018, we will open a cutting-edge Planetarium. There, even the northern lights will dance all around you.

We wish you a happy stay in Iceland & hope to see you again for new adventures.
Kindly,
Edda

To be honest I was a bit reserved at the beginning. Yes, the entrance might be pricey. However when we went there, there was a discount because of the works in some aprts of the building - that was fair, not many would decide to do so. Bravo Iceland!
When it comes to exhibition - it's worth it! Interactive stories about volcanoes, earthquakes, hot springs etc. makes you wish to go and explore Iceland once again (we were there at the end of our trip). What is more, even though we haven't been inside a real glacier, Perlan provides an artificial ice cave! How cool is that?!

Dear adriankiero, thank you for writing to us about your fantastic day.

Yes, we are preparing new spectacles & offer special prices in the meantime. This, however, is outside of our exhibition & should not affect your experience.

Our ice cave real, made from 350 tons of Icelandic ice & ash - replicating a glacier more than anything else.

This winter 2018, we will open a Planetarium. There, Wonders of Iceland (even northern lights) will dance all around you.

We hope your stay in Iceland was wonderful & that we will see you again.
