Although the restaurant also had chicken available, 95% of the menu is vegan and vegetarian. The menu alternates daily. and basically, you choose from the blackboard which main dish you'd like and then you order up at the counter. I selected the vegan enchiladas. You then get to choose 3 salads of your choice as sides. There were about 8 salads to choose from, all of them looked amazing and on the evening I went all of the salad options were vegan.

The portion sizes are HUGE (see the photo) and the food has a "homemade", "soulful" and "rustic" feel. The food was basic but tasty and definitely hit the spot. The restaurant itself has two sections - a front room with lots of windows which allows natural lighting and a back section which also has windows.

The decor is clean, modern and Nordic feeling. Though you order up at the counter (as opposed to be waited on), the restaurant is nice enough to allow for a proper dining experience if ordering wine.

Conveniently located right off the main tourist street in downtown Reykjavik, Glo couldn't be located better.

They had a great number of selections but nothing was really flavorful. We had soup and a side of 3 salads but there wasn't enough taste or flavor in them. We didn't go back again.

Healthy quick food which can also be suitable for vegetarians/ vegans. I had a chicken wrap with salad inside and a yoghurt and mango dressing. It was nice and costed around 1,200 ISK

We ate here the last time we visited Reykjavik a few years ago, and were looking forward to going back. I had the veggie burger and my partner had the raw vegan spring roll, both were delicious and served with a choice of three salads making for a fulfilling tasty plate of food.

As a vegetarian I had read about Glo in advance of visiting Reykyavik this past week. The concept is simple - you choose a main (veggie or chicken based) and pick three side salads to go with it. All veggie food is vegan and gluten free, which means you're guaranteed at least one healthy dinner with good quality vegetables. Taste wise however the food is average so we didn't go back as there are so many other dining options in town.
