Description: A tiny, family owned soup restaurant in the heart of Reykjavik. We are proud to be the first and the original "soup in bread" restaurant in Iceland. We've been serving soups in bread for over 20 years amd we love it. Please note: We do not take reservations, ever - but swing by and we will do our best to fit you in with smiles on our faces! :)

This place is famous for its soup and that is essentially the only thing on the menu. There is a meat variety and a vegetarian choice. We had one of each and both were great but the bread bowl that the soup came in was even better! Crusty and fresh, it was a great accompaniment to the soup and altogether made for a complete meal. Service is fast and the atmosphere is pretty relaxed. Reasonably price for a filling and warming meal.

As others have said - this place is great. It does one thing and does it well. We really needed something hot and filling after a day visiting the Golden Circle. I had the veggie option - it was great and my girls had the meat option which was spicy and delicious. The bread in which it was served was fabulous. Again, as others have said - this was the cheapest meal we had in Iceland and it really hit the spot.

We arrived early-ish and it was just as well - not long afterwards there was a steady stream of people who had to wait for a table. It's a small place, but all the better for it!

A busy atmosphere for this little restaurant with friendly service. We visited on a Sunday afternoon in February it was cold and raining so what could be better than a hot hearty soup served in a big bread roll perfect and filling. 4500 isk for two meals and two cups of tea by Icelandic standards I felt that was good value.

I really enjoyed my visit here. My friends had the vegetable soup. I had one with lamb and pepperoni, it was so delicious. You can eat the bread bowl. Two soups and two pints came to about 40 euro. Not bad value for Reykjavik. staff were very friendly too. I will return ❤️

Hands down this was the best food place we visited in Iceland! Friendly staff and great food! Very filling portions and tasty soups (not bland at all) We highly recommend this and would definitely go back!
