This place has very, very good food, reasonably priced and a must do stop.....also easily found a bit away from the touristy harbor. A bit small but very cordial staff.

We had a great lunch here -the fisherman's favourite was delicious (with free food refills!). While we were eating, one of the staff brought around fermented shark for people to try, and also educated us about different cooking styles in iceland and Scandinavia. Very friendly and also very delicious!

What a wonderful gem in the heart of Reykjavik. The owner is so friendly and kind. They were giving out free waffles and coffee one day just because it had been so busy they'd run out of everything but the soup. Lamb soup, bread, cakes and coffee were amazing. Prices are very reasonable, esp considering you can get free refills and even change the type of soup for your refill. My kids even loved the lamb soup, and they can be very picky. Icelandic pancakes were wonderful (more like a crepe than a pancake.) The line can be long but it goes very quickly as the soup is already made. So don't be intimidated by the large crowd. That's just proof of how good the food is. We only wish we had found this place sooner.

Top notch street food. The 3 refills are more than enough. The soups are tasty. The dessets are free (I was like "wtf ?" at first). I mean it's top-grade budget restaurant in Reykjavik !
