When we first looked at booking here, having to share the kitchen and living areas was a little weird to us. As we were staying here though, it became nice, because it forced you out of your room and into an area where you could be comfortable and socialize with other people. The kitchen was not really used by anyone but us for the entire week we stayed. They have your basic ikea cooking set. They also have all the basic ikea wine glasses and mugs. They provide spatulas and other utensils too. We found that we needed to have another pan for doing more here and drove down to the ikea to buy ourselves another pan that we would just leave here. They have a full drawer of spices and have many condiments. The rooms are on the smaller side, and depending on the room you pick, the bathroom can be quite small. (2 singles has a full bathtub) (2 doubles and 1 queen and a bunk has a small 4x3ft shower). The beds are basically a very large memory foam mattress. Overall, our stay here was very good and it was nice being able to save a lot of money by cooking here. (The cheapest grocery store in the city is also just behind this building). The downside of staying here is that there is a bar underneath the apartments and from time to time you can hear the music through the floor. Also outside on the main road, the people at night can get quite loud. They woke us up about 2 times during our stay. Otherwise,
For the central location and convenience I would definitely recommend staying here.
The apartment is very comfortable and clean. Good location - access to many interesting places and to the conveniently located bus stop! We had a great time in Iceland and would recommend this apartment!
