Beautiful location, the cottage is very small but quite functional. Watch out for extra cleaning and laundry fees.
We spent a super week in the area. The owners are very congenial and we most helpful with regards with what to do on the area. Reykjavik is an hour away , Blue Lagoon just a little further (the only issue is that unless you want to drive around he Fjord is that the cost for the tunnel is approx £10 return each time) and the 'Golden Circle' very accessible as well as other places of interest. The cabin is very cosy and my son (13) loved the hot tub. The view of the fjord was wonderful (it is also interesting historically and ....we saw the Northern Lights just by driving a few kms 'down the road' y one evening which was a fantastic bonus!

I stayed for 5 days with my partner in one of these cottages. We had everything we needed to cook and were very comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and friendly, especially their dog who greeted us every morning! We were lucky enough to see the Northern Lights in all their glory on not one but two nights, which more than made up for the lack of seals at this time of year. The location is great to get a view of the night sky without the glare of the city of Reykjavik and meant we were close to many beautiful landscapes. Already planning a return visit.
