The parkside location near the public transportAt nexus at the main railway station, the central shopping area and the university was ideal. The friendliness and helpfulness of every member of the staff that we met was exceptional. The breakfast buffet was generous and varied.The room was small as Nordic hotel rooms tend to be, but well laid-out. No storage furniture, but adequate open hanging space.The bathroom was quite generous, but the architect had given it a pebbled glass wall separating the shower stall from the sleeping area, compromising privacy and lighting up the whole room if the bathroom was used at night. For a traveling couple with two computers and phones to charge, the large number of electric outlets was a plus; the dinky round bedside tables were a minus.

I would really recommend this hotel for a stay in Helsinki. Hotel is very close to center and tram stop and metro station is just few minutes walk. Also to central railway station is just about 5 mins walk. Staff is really nice, smiling and with good humour.

Superior room is perfect size and bathroom with city view window was very cool. Having a shower while looking trains arriving/departuring from station was cool.
I enjoyed lightning as you could dim it, switch on night lightning and small light in bathroom with motion sensor was really nice.

I stayed for 3 nights and never heard any noise from other rooms so it was really quiet. Also the view from corner room on the 8th floor was very nice. Especially in the evening, after a long day on foot, laying in bed and watching sunset.
Only a slight disturbance from renovation of the park. They started working around 6 in the morning and me being a light sleeper woke up because of it. It wasn’t loud but you could still hear the noise. But overall this wasn’t any big deal.

Breakfast was fine, for me it was enough but I guess if you want huge breakfast with lot of options you would like a little bit more. But still, porridge, eggs, bacon, sandwich material, fruits, vegetables, cakes, pancakes, bread and pastry, dairy products and cerial was offered. And also different coffees including really Finnish thing - filtered coffee.

Oh! And the really comfy bed. And I have to say, most hotels have double bed made up from two single beds, but here it was really king size comfy double bed.

So I totally enjoyed this stay and would definitely come back.
