Opened a year and half ago on the location of the previous Pasila railway station the new vast shopping complex has survived the rough times rather well. Travelling from one suburb to another this is the easiest exchange point with 19 covered tracks and escalators. There are some speciality shops not found elsewhere among the usual mall retailers and a lot of possibilities for fast and slower food.
This mall is tightly connected to the Pasila railway station.
Although it was our 3rd visit, we had again some problems to navigate. The info signs are not the clearest. The website is still more confusing.
You can find one hotel, one museum, one cinema, restaurants, cafes, bars, many stores and other services here.
The Surf House on the P4 floor is a must-see place. You cannot find that from anywhere else in Finland.
Previously a railway station now an overwhelming shopping center. The shopping center has all the mandatory outlets, cafes, restaurants and cinema. Its good for spending time between trains, aimless walking around and keeping up the step-count.
The bigger the better? I wouldn’t say so. Variety of shops are not so impressive and it’s so hard to find elevators, which would bring you to the right floor. So it you are walking with baby stroller, good luck walking around and making circles :/
Discusting temple of commerce. Cheap chain stores with unethical rags . Boring restaurants and coffee shops which you can find anywhere . Ugly architecture.
As “ a cherry on the top” the disabled toilet seems to be the living room of local druggies. Syringes on the floor , blood on the walls
Never again, don’t bother to visit this mall !
Mall of Tripla is a brand new shopping centre in the heart of Pasila - right next door to the Pasila rail station and typical to other Finnish shopping malls - with easy access by every form of public transport. The mall is not only huge - it also have plenty of eating opportunities. A must-see for retail addicts or anyone who is hungry.
