You have to see the royal palace, specially the change guard!
Make sure you are at least 20 minutes before noon, so get a nice spot to watch it!

Thank themummy16

Not a lot of people around, so seeing the whole show was not complicated. Girls and boys in the guard as well!

Loved walking through the various rooms of the Swedish Royal Palace. The gift shop has many beautiful books with professional photographs of the rooms and the various crowns and artifacts on display, so if you can't get a good picture of something that is on display in glass because you get a terrible glare, you can always invest in some of their books. If on a budget, there is always the option of buying postcards of the various items within the museum which is always a good backup if you forget your camera, or your batteries died on you along the way....

Great way to see the history and grandeur of the Swedish People. With an existing Monarchy, going through this Palace is a learning experience about the people and the country's history. Sweden was the most powerful nation of the North at one time. Unlike newer reconstructed palaces in Russia, this palace has the color of age upon it. The exterior has blackened with time, the gilding inside has dulled with the centuries, but it only lends a sense of incredible history and continuity to the place. Wander through rooms and rooms of incredible paintings, porcelains, glassware, Thrones, furniture of every sort. ( tableaus of royal life in re configured personal studies etc.) A magnificent place and a must see in Stockholm.
