Description: Five Small Houses you will find in the heart of Old Town, just off St. George and the Dragon. You are welcomed into a superb restaurant, which is made up of nine beautiful arches. These extend over five house, hence the name of the restaurant. There is also a modern conference room and lounges that are often used as function rooms On the menu you can always find dishes like herring, cured salmon, fillet of reindeer and a cloudberry dessert. Our parade course fillet´t of veal Anna Lindberg, it is served with morel sauce and potato gratin. It is also possible to organize wine tastings as related to conferences or as completely separate events.

We visited on Saturday 20 October on recommendation from hotel concierge. The restaurant was very busy but had a nice atmosphere. They warned us that service may be slow from the kitchen but it took 30 minutes to take our order and then another 35 minutes for the food to come. One meal (reindeer) was sent back as it was cold. The restaurant replaced it with a fresh serving. Steak was good but the meatballs were a little disappointing. A drink never arrived but was on the bill which they removed when pointed out. Overall, nice food when it was served properly but not a fine dining experience.

The food is excellent and the service is professional, however a friendly smile would add to the dining experience.
We had the Classic Toast Skagen followed by their classic Filet of Veal a´la Anna Lindberg and the Passionfruit cheesecake with raspberry glazea . Just yummy!
It is not cheap but well worth the visit for excellent Swedish food..

Went to eat here and order starter, main and desert. Got some good tips for drinks. Going here was simply an ecperience. Awesome food, very prompt service. Had the raindeer which was delicious. If budget isn’t an issue then you NEED to go here when you visit Stockholm!

The food and service here was excellent. As we were staying in the Old Town, it was within 5 minutes walking distance. We even tried the herring (herring 4 ways), not really expecting to enjoy it but it was delicious. It is not cheap but well worth the visit for excellent Swedish food..

This is a very traditional restaurant. We visited it the first time 1971 (we changed rings) and it is looking more and less the same. It is as you can tell from the name situated in some old mostly cellars in the old city of Stockholm. And you can really feel the medieval atmosphere. It is just a few blocks from the royal castle and one block from the sea. The restaurant is a labyrinth consisting of many small rooms and several stairs. It is the very definition of cosy.
Not only the restaurant looks the same, but also the menu and it is not very long. The advantage is of course that they really know how to cook it. It consists of very traditional Swedish dishes. And we can recommend them all. The wine list is impressive, it really helps to staying in business for a long time.
This time we had white fish roe from Kalix respectively scallops as starters. Perhaps the last one is an addition to the menu. We followed up with reindeer as our main course. The food has been tasty for years however, this time we were surprised. All the dishes were very much updated and modern. They were nicely presented and tasted excellent. The makeover had also unfortunately hit the prices that were jacked up a bit. The desserts were OK, but they had not been included in the makeover. As always, we liked the staff.
This is a restaurant that you do not visit more than once a year due to obvious reasons however, it can be highly recommended for all foreign guest and once a year for the people that lives in this area.
