Unfortunately today The Sandbar produced service that by anybody’s standards was nothing short of disappointing! Our waiter firstly failed to offer a table of 10 menus, we had one between us which we graciously passed amongst ourselves for our entire stay.
He then told us that the Loo’s were all put of order, and when one of our peeps asked him for another alternative he said he didn’t know, and possibly we could use the ocean! May I add that there is no doubt there are issues that occur in any game, but how one deals with it is the clincher!
We had a number of guests who asked for starter portions and received mains, which we paid for he just fobbed it off. The entire visit was based on his poor service and only when the bill arrived did we realize why he couldn’t have cared less! It came with a 10% service charge included! Fatal mistake for any restaurant owner! This chap seriously brought down great food, with and awesome location! He really was the weakest Link! On a R3500 bill, I think it was a poor show!
