This hotel is a very nice and comfortable hotel but it is spoilt because it doesn’t work hard enough to be the 5* property it promises. If the hotel claimed to be 4* then I’d say it was very good and acceptable for a 4* Superior but it is not 5*.

We booked a junior suite with a side sea view. I don’t think the partial view was worth it as you don’t see much sea. I wish I’d either saved money and gone for no sea view or spend some (a lot!) more and gone for a full sea view.

The “welcome fruit basket” was actually three apples and the non-smoking room had an ashtray in it.

The room itself is comfortable (406). We have a separate sitting area, a very large bed and the shower in the bathroom is one of the best hotel showers I’ve experienced. The balcony is large with a table and chairs. The mini bar is stocked with three bottles of water, two juices, two Pepsi and two beer - not a lot but sufficient to last a night.

There are several things that unfortunately let the room down. The TV is in a position where it can’t be comfortably watched from anywhere in the room; the counter in the bathroom is badly water damaged; the lights on the balcony are full of flies; the wooden floor has marks where things have been moved; the tap on the basin had a line of dirt where it’s repeatedly not been cleaned properly; one blind over the bed opens but the other doesn’t; there are two extra pillows in the wardrobe, these were pointed out to us when we arrived, but there are no pillow cases for these pillows. In themselves these are all very minor but they are not something I’d expect of a 5* hotel.

Housekeeping is very friendly. The service has been excellent. Each evening housekeeping knock on the door to see if there’s anything we need (I suspect they’d turn down the room if we weren’t here). On our first night I asked for two diet Pepsis instead of one diet and one full sugar. The next morning and on the subsequent morning we got the two diet Pepsis we requested however for the fourth morning we were back to one of each however a request at turndown time meant we went back to diet Pepsi.. The cleaners are slightly too keen to move things. One day our own mugs that we use for tea were removed, my husband’s medications were mixed up; a half full tube of his moisturiser was thrown away. Yet there’s been a used tissue on the bathroom floor from before we arrived that’s been there for our entire stay. If I can see that then the housekeepers should also be able to see it!

Breakfast is wonderful. You are served a hot beverage, fresh orange juice and water as soon as you sit down. There is a vast range of foods including bacon, sausage, fried potatoes and four kinds of egg - the muffin tin omelettes are wonderful; a good selection of meats and cheeses; cereals and fresh fruits, breads and pastries; sweet goods and a range of specifically Greek breakfast goods.

We are paying €190 per night which I feel is more than sufficient for what we are getting. That said I would stay here again if I return to Thessaloniki and would be quite happy to recommend staying here.

It is not the first time i stay at this boutique hotel having experienced standard rooms with no view, to double with sea view of Thermaikos making you just gaze for hours to the deluxe quiet room with all facilities, space, choice and comfort! From reception host to room service and breakfast choices all has been a time to remember and wish for more soon! Thanks for making my stay so relaxing

Spent three nights here and cannot fault it. The location is superb- right on the sea front, close to The White Tower and near many vibrant bars and great restaurants. Our room - a 'comfort' room did not have a sea view but that didn't matter for the amount of time we spent in there and there are many other rooms and suites with sea views if you want them. The room was spacious and luxurious- king size bed was very comfortable, large bathroom with separate shower and bath. Mini bar with water, juices, soft drinks and beer was complimentary and restocked every day. Fruit and chocolates left for us on arrival. Air conditioning made it extra comfortable as day and night time temperatures still warm. Lots of hot and cold choices for breakfast. Housekeeping was great and all staff were very attentive and helpful. Very impressed with this hotel!

This wonderful compact boutique style hotel ideally located on the seafront is just perfect. Situated on a buzzing seafront with trendy bars and restaurants and everywhere is within easy walking distance. The hotel is very quiet and well designed. We found all the staff very polite, helpful and professional. The rooms are a good size with both bath and separate shower.most importantly clean and quiet. Breakfast was served in a room at the rear very extensive Buffett which catered for all tastes. Hotel coffee at breakfast is usually bad, but this was very good.

We stayed one night in Daios luxury living and booked a deluxe junior suite with front sea view. The room was very nice, stylish furniture and the balcony huge. Sea view was also nice though could have been even better if we had had a room higher. Service staff was very friendly and very polite. Naturally, you cannot have both: fantastic sea view and no noise. But that is due to the situation in Thessaloniki and not due to the hotel. All in all a very pleasant visit at Daios!
