My wife and I stayed here for three days and thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The location is perfect. Close to the pedestrian only area with lots of bars, restaurants and shops. Room was very nice and the bed was so comfy. The bathroom was really clean and big. The staff at the reception were very welcoming and pleasant. The breakfast was really good with lots to chose from.

We would not generally stay at an Ibis brand hotel. This was an exception as it was so highly rated compared to other hotels in Heraklion. The hotel has only been opened for about one year and is very modern. It is only a few minutes walk from the harbour, many restaurants and cafes, bus terminal, archaeological museum and shops. There is also a good sized supermarket adjacent to the hotel. Perfectly positioned really.
We were upgraded for our three night stay from an executive room to a suite. This suite was huge and very nicely decorated. It also had a rather large terrace. There were lots of lights everywhere as well as good storage. This suite had absolutely everything that we could possibly have needed.
Breakfast was buffet style with a huge array of hot and cold items.
There was also a large rooftop bar with views to the harbour. Sadly we never saw any other guests there the two times we went there. It was a really lovely area.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here as the hotel was in a great location, all the staff were very helpful and our suite was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Our room was modern and clean. People at reception were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were wonderful! A great selection of foods. We asked to borrow an iron and ironing board, and they went out of their way to find them for us. I would recommend this hotel. I would give it a five star, but they have no gym.

The last time we were in Heraklion was in 1974 and thought it was about time we went again, specifically to go to Knossos.
Our tour company suggested this hotel and as it was central it seemed the ideal place to stay.
The hotel is only a year or two old and is situated in the middle of Heraklion. We arrived earlier than anticipated and our room wasn't ready. Even so the receptionist took us upstairs to the bar and offered us a complementary drink until our room was ready.
When we got to our room is was quite spacious and although the view over the back streets wasn't picturesque that didn't matter.
The first evening we ate in the hotel and had a buffet which was good value and with plenty of choice. The only other meal we had was breakfast which was also buffet and was ample for our needs.
On our second day we explored the roof area and found a quiet area with comfortable seats.
On the second and third evenings we ate at a seafood restaurant by the quayside. The swordfish steak was one of the best I have ever had.
On the whole an excellent hotel but be warned, and this will apply to all the hotels, the flightpath from the airport is over the city and they fly day and night, so it can be noisy at night.

Located centrally in town, it is just a short taxi ride (around 7 euros) from the port. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, a really bustling area in the evenings. There’s also a small supermarket beside if you need some quick supplies like bottled water, which was not provided by the hotel.

We stayed in an executive room, which was bigger than expected. Though it comes with a small balcony, there was not much of a view from our room. Check out the rooftop area if you would like to see the sunset from the hotel.

Last but not least, the buffet breakfast provides a pretty good spread of decent quality!
