According to a decision of the Decentralized Administration of Crete, a demolition protocol was issued, due to violations on the seaside area. Even though the place was well run, popular and good.

This cozy restaurant was located close to our hotel, and so we dropped in after checking the menu. We were pleasantly surprised by the effective waiter who spoke excellent English. He gave us plenty of time to decide on what we would have for dinner, and when it all arrived, we liked what we saw. In addition, the house red wine was to our taste, and the waiter assured us that Greek red wine is good for the heart. We continued to have a meal here now-and-then, and we were never disappointed. The food was nothing special, but sufficient for our needs. It was mainly the open and caring atmosphere what appealed most to us.

We dined here several times during our stay in Kalamaki. The food was always delicious, and the service was always friendly. It is ideally situated right on the water providing great views while you dine. We never had a single bad meal here! The best shrimp we’ve ever had!

Taverns are one of the most important tourist attraction in Greece as far as I'm concerned. And this one was top of the class. We had dinner here the first day of our holiday, just a few hours after we landed and it was the perfect way to slingshot us straight into full relaxation mode. The tavern itself looks really good and the view is simply amazing. If you sit at a table by the sea you are literally just a few metres away from the waves. The waiter was very friendly and suggested some really good stuff. Also we couldn't believe how quickly they brought the food! Do order greek appetizers! Especially if you're vegetarian (like my mom). Get a bunch of those and a main course might not even be necessary. I had spaghetti bolognese and had to take them away because I was stuffed. Also there's sweets and cretan raki on the house! Typical greek taverna with very relaxing ambience and very good food.

This has a great location right by the sea. The service was excellent and the food good. We went a couple of times during our stay and very much enjoyed. There was a children's menu which helped and fresh sardines were delicious.
