I highly recommend this gem of a hotel in Chania, Crete in the old harbour port. The suite we stayed in was called 'The Aphrodite' room, It was a large suite with a kitchenette and quality bathroom features. The Owner George was very helpful & hospitable, always willing to answer your questions on the spot, he was always willing to do research for you on tourist sites, we found him to be an excellent host. The breakfast lady Irene as also extremely polite & interested in the customers needs.
Our room had a balcony with impeccable views of the port in Chania town.
Highly Recommended & would return to this excellent run hotel.

Room Tip: The Aphrodite room had impeccable port views.

Whilst on our honeymoon we visited Chania following a two night stay in Athens pre going on to Makrigialos. Chani itself is a lovely place for one or two nights and the variety of restaurants and bars are outstanding. We pre booked in advance and dined at Salis which was superb (I have reviewed this separately).
We stayed at the suites Pandora, very easy to find and plenty of on street parking. From the minute we arrived until our departure we were made to feel exceptionally welcome. We stayed in the Aphrodite suite which was very apt, being on our honeymoon!!! The actual suite was beautiful, very rustic and plenty of space for two, very high ceilings so overall a great space. The best feature is without doubt the balcony which is just big enough for the table and two chairs. The hotel is right in the centre of Chania so when you open the balcony doors for the first time it's is truly amazing. The view both day and night is stunning and a wonderful place to relax. The apartment below as a large terrace but was not as high as our apartment so my advice would be book the Aphrodite suite, it's perfect. The icing on the cake was we had breakfast included (which we had forgotten about) and this is served on the most stunning roof top dining area. Breakfast was delicious, lots to choose from and served by a very smiley owner who also took several photos of us as we were the only ones up there for the first part of our breakfast. We would without doubt recommend this accommodation to anyone thinking of staying in Chania.
Thank you very much.

I stayed in two rooms: one with balcony view of the Venetian harbor (Aphroditi) and one with garden view (Selene). Both were nice.

Of course the first was more spectacular with natural lights flowing in from four windows and top view of the hustle and bustle below. But if you do not plan to spend too many hours in your room, the garden option is OK as well. Not much natural light, but the garden is very special. It is a place to relax and drink something before you go to bed at night and take your coffee in the early morning, before you go to breakfast.

The roof terrace is spectacular and an elegant, with parasols and white tablecloths, and makes up for the possible lack of views from your room. The pension has a personal feel and is very quiet. George, the owner, is very friendly and gives great advice.

We were very pleased with this lovely perch over Chania Old Port!
George Rovlias responded promptly and professionally to electronic correspondence and honoured my early request for Suite Aphroditi.
We struggled initially to find the hotel entry, having walking along the waterfront, but were soon directed to a backstreet from where we reached reception.
Registration process was painless and once ensconced in our spacious suite, we edged onto the small balcony to feast on the Old Port views.
Found the double bed and separate lounge room quite comfortable.
Enjoyed the breakfasts on the rooftop patio, also with fabulous views, and appreciated the kindness displayed by staff.
The studio is well situated in terms of its proximity to the sights of Chania. Even free parking, for those with a moderate level of fitness, is within walking distance.
I have no hesitate in recommending Pandora Suites Hotel - it is a lovely, well-maintained property that serves as the ideal accommodation choice for Chania.

Room Tip: Get Suite Aphroditi for the private balcony view!
