This hotel is a beautiful boutique style hotel in the adorable little town of Chania in Crete. (Chania is pronounced like "Han-ya" rhymes with Tonya) This hotel is located in a walled city where no cars can drive. When we arrived with our luggage from the airport, our hotel personnel met us at the city "gates" with a golf cart and took us to the hotel that way. The hotel has less than 30 rooms, so the service was very personable.

Rooms:
we stayed in the Master suite. It was perfect! It has a queen bed out in the open and then a bedroom with 2 twin beds/king bed. It had one bathroom with a shower and then behind the queen bed in the main room is a 2 person jacuzzi tub. This particular suite is closest to the lobby and literally situated in the main courtyard of the hotel. This courtyard is also where breakfast is served every morning. I loved the location of the room. It was easy to get to with luggage, it was close to the entrance and easy to get to after a long walk out sightseeing all day. Before arriving I had read negative comments because it was close to the courtyard where breakfast is serviced, we didn't notice noise at all. We do travel with a room fan for white noise, so maybe that's why. Also breakfast doesn't officially start until 7:30am, so it's not like the noise starts at 5am even if you did hear something.

Room amenities:
Has hair dryer, Nespresso machine, robe and slippers, safe. Bed was comfortable. Temperature was controllable and good.

Breakfast:
The free breakfast every morning was amazing! They offer a great selection of sweet options like cakes, lot of fruit, European options like sliced meat and cheeses. And best of all fresh egg of your choice...I had poached eggs everyday! Breakfast was from 7:30am-10am, but if you had an earlier excursion or had to leave to catch a flight they would have it all ready for you at what ever time you needed! We met a mom and daughter who had to leave at 4am for the airport and sure enough the hotel asked them what they would like to have ready that early so they could eat before they left!

Hotel amenities:
We didn't ever eat at the hotel, other than breakfast, but we did enjoy a drink on the roof top bar. This, of course, has amazing views and good drinks at the typical hotel price. This rooftop bar also has a jacuzzi, which is lovely to relax in after a long day of sight seeing.
Front desk staff was so eager to help you plan your day out sightseeing. They would go over the maps with you and make sure you knew where you were going, they were happy to offer suggestions and recommendations.

Walled city:
Absolutely adorable! There are streets and alleys everywhere with restaurants and shops, so walkable. Right by the hotel is a small "convenience store" where you could get water bottles, beer, soda etc. On a side note, in Greece, bottled water is regulated, so everyone must sell at the same price (except restaurants) . So a 20oz water bottle is 50cents and a litter size is 1 euro!

Spa:
We walked the Samarian Gorge...that's a whole different reveiw! Anyway, I was so sore the next day and realized the spa had an "after Samarian Gorge massage" . So I promptly booked one of these and it was amazing!

Hotel location:
Chania has a really neat waterfront area and is very similar to Venice (minus the waterways) where there are streets and alleys to wonder through and get lost in. Chania was under Venetian Rule for hundreds of years, hence the influence. This hotel was just a moments walk from this waterfront area.

I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Chania and I will definitely be visiting again someday!

This is such a beautiful, quaint, charming hotel tucked away from the bustling streets of Chania. Although it is tucked away, it is still a stone's throw from the harbor. The staff were wonderful and did everything they could to make our stay wonderful. They helped arrange our transportation, dinner reservations, and excursions. Our room was a 2 story suite that overlooked the water and it was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was good with the best Greek yogurt I had during my entire stay in Greece. I highly recommend this hotel if you are going to Chania.

I just returned from 5 nights at Casa Delfino and it was a perfect stay! Casa Delfino was recommended to me by a friend who knows Chania very well and we are so glad we took her advice and stayed there. The hotel is really charming and inviting. It's a gem! We toured many different rooms and they are all beautiful and unique. My husband and I had a large, spacious room and my sister had a two story suite - they were both fantastic. The rooms (and common areas) are well decorated and appointed and super clean. There is a rooftop terrace with a bar that overlooks historic Chania. The hotel is perfectly located for a stroll of the ancient streets of Chania and it's literally 2 blocks from sea where you can walk l the old port or walk to a beach in about 10 minutes. The staff cannot do enough for you - Thanks so much to Margaritte, Stella, Alex, Panos, George, Dina, and Theo -- and all the others - you made us feel like family and this really added to our enjoyment. The breakfast is fantastic - a really nice assortment of Greek and European specialties. Dina makes great lattes too! The guests are all friendly towards each other, which adds to the experience. As an added bonus, the hotel sports a wonderful shop, which is one of the best stores in all of Chania. My sister and I purchased some wonderful items - and thank you to Theo for helping us with our shopping needs. I cannot wait to visit again one day!

Room Tip: Book a one bedroom suite

If you want a wonderful hotel, an amazing view and the perfect location in Chania, this is your hotel. We had a fabulous suite with a beautiful terrace overlooking the harbor. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. If we go back to Crete, this is where we will stay.

Room Tip: Presidential Suite. AMAZING

Margarita and all her staff are both knowledge and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.

The hotel is located in the charming and quaint old harbour in Chania. The streets and harbour are packed with lovely places to eat as well as to shop. All very reasonable.

Room Tip: Various levels of room to suit most budgets.
