This was my first restaurant in Greece and I loved it. After trying out several others during a week stay, this was still one of my top favorites.

Good food and friends go together so well. We enjoyed our dining experience and the food at this local joint in the Plaka district.

NB: Eris and Daphne’s are the same restaurant.
When we arrived we liked the look of the menu. It is the most expensive restaurant we visited though- overall there are many better places with more reasonable prices within minutes that have tremendously better hospitality. Would not recommend.
1. We were not at all impressed when we had a nice, pricey €2.50 mineral water poured without asking. Everywhere else we went asked and then gave us tap as requested. When we queried, the waiter who had spoken English fine, suddenly had no idea what tap water was, said he’d check and never came back.
2. Cover charge for bread at €1 a head. Fine, but the only restaurant we went to that did this again.
3. Food itself was good. Can’t complain about that. Crap with Orzo was lovely.
4. The bill was brought out whilst we were eating. We would’ve stayed for more wine and dessert but I guess they didn’t want the custom. Again, every other place we went to waited for us to ask.
5. Overall the worst service and not at all becoming of traditional Greek hospitality. Bizarre how it’s two restaurants, interestingly with differing review scores. Would recommend further down toward the street near acropolis museum for some amazing restaurants.

The worst food I’ve had in Greece in 10 years. Staff couldn’t care less, service is mediocre and food is overpriced and badly cooked. Many better places. Avoid

Dine while gazing at the dramatically lit Acropolis. Lovely. Very good food, some of the best tomatoes on a Greek Salad that we had during our entire stay. We drank the house red wine, and it was simple but tasty. We tried a variety of appetizers, so we could sample many dishes. Everything we had was great, but we particularly liked the calamari. It tasted very fresh.
