Don't go here unless you want shrimp. We shared peel and eat shrimp and coconut shrimp for lunch. The shrimp was very fresh, portions were large, and very good. And it didn't hurt that beers were only $2 US each. If you are in the Ladyville area, it is worth a visit.

Shrimp, and more shrimp. The other items on the menu were mostly unavailable. But we did come for shrimp and the shrimp were available in multitudinous servings. We had shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and the shrimp alfredo and were not disappointed.

Our first time out to Captain Hook for dinner. The restaurant is elevated ,open air and overlooking a organic shrimp farm. The views at night of the skyline of area are amazing. The shrimp were delicious and our server took care of us with a smile. We recommend and will return.

We noticed the Captain Hook's sign painted on a building along the main highway in Ladyville (very close to the airport) and decided to try it out. We wondered if we were going the right way because it seemed almost like the road ended, but then we saw signs for the shrimp farm. The restaurant is not at the first set of buildings - there are hand painted signs to direct you. The restaurant is on the upper level of a building surrounded by shrimp ponds. We placed our order - there were only 5 items, three of them shrimp, one tilapia, and one a burger - and then walked around and looked at the ponds. I wanted to go see the saltwater crocodiles but there was a dog tied near the trail and I didn't trust passing. We climbed the tower at the restaurant and enjoyed the sunset and lovely view of the farm. By this time our food was ready. The restaurant is not at all high class and some parts could have been cleaned up a little, but the food was delicious! I had the coconut shrimp and my husband had the peel and dip shrimp. Both were good. The portions are not huge.

Could use a clean up, as the outdoor furniture in the restaurant is really quite shabby...but that doesn't take away from the ambiance, and the excellent food. The shrimp is caught for your plate...(can't get any fresher) and the farm is well maintained...like I said, spend a few dollars on the furniture and freshen up the place, and you have a virtual 5 star type restaurant, with a limited menu...(there are burgers for those of you who aren't into shrimp...a bit difficult to find...but worth the effort.
