We were 6 adults and 6 children (whose ages were from 8 yrs to 4 months) and we found Millbrook suited us very well. Its position is so close to the beach that the children didn't have to mess about putting shoes on, they just went barefoot and the shower by the back door was great for a quick hose-down on return.
It's an upside-down house (presumably so you can enjoy the glimpses of the sea from the front-facing windows in the living area). There's a wooden stair-gate which we fortunately didn't need. I liked the open-plan aspect of the kitchen - dining - lounge area.
The kitchen was very well-equipped and the large central island meant several people could all be cooking/making sandwiches at the same time. We did a big on-line shop from Tesco's which arrived as scheduled and saved a lot of time. (Tesco also sell cheap wet-suits which were great for the children)
The living area was spacious and the dining table extended to accommodate us all comfortably. The three en-suites were a treat and the family bathroom was spacious. 6 loos altogether so no queues!
Parking for our 3 cars was available; at a push you could probably fit more cars in.
Some of us patronised The Castle opposite and though they were doing a brisk trade, we were not troubled by noise.
On our one wet day we went to the Blue Lagoon, an indoor leisure pool a bit like the Dome at Center Parks - flumes, lazy river, wave machine. It's about 20 mins drive away, the St Clears side of Haverfordwest. The children also enjoyed an indoor play area in Haverfordwest.
All in all, a very successful week!

We've just returned from a wonderful week at Millbrook which our large family group thoroughly enjoyed. The owner was exceptionally helpful and communicated well before, during and after our stay. Our party ranged in ages from 3 months to early 80's and we all loved our accommodation. It's spacious; even when another 4 family members, who were based elsewhere, joined us it didn't feel cramped. The kitchen and dining facilities are fantastic. We regularly cooked for large numbers in the exceptionally well equipped kitchen where everything we could possibly need was provided. The ovens and hob worked well. Plenty of fridge space. There was lashings of hot water &, although it was only mid-May, we were warm & didn't need the heating on. The en-suites are beautiful too. Guests need to take care with the controls as water is so hot. We made good use of the private walled patio area at the rear which is a real sun trap in the afternoons. It was so peaceful and quiet and a fantastic location right in the middle of the village and a stone's throw from the beach. The weather was good so we were able to enjoy the coast. The hedgerows were bursting with wildflowers - absolutely beautiful. We ate at both The Castle (Thai curry recommended) and St. Brides (Sunday roast a bit disappointing). By far the best food was at The Cambrian pub in Solva. It doesn't look much from the outside but our light lunches were well presented and delicious. We left with so many happy family memories many of them thanks to the quality of such lovely accommodation.
We stayed at Millbrook Cottage last weekend for my friends 50th birthday. We all had a fabulous time, the cottage was as described, very clean with excellent facilities. Great location, we ate at two of the pubs the Ship & the Castle, food excellent in both.

My family (all ages) and I spent a brilliant week in this beautiful cottage situated in the heart of Little Haven - a long term family favourite holiday destination. The cottage is ideal for larger parties and affords a comfortable, homely and highly resourced holiday base. We particularly enjoyed the kitchen and large dining table - brilliant space for cooking and entertaining when not eating out at some of the local pubs and restaurants.
Stayed here while our daughter was competing in a sports event near by. The standard of accommodation was very good with loads of sleeping space (there were only 4 adults 2 children in our party). I was very happy as I enjoy quality design and comfort and this house has also been well thought about with quality materials used in the house and then furnished to a high spec. Outside, the location was perfect we are in the pub across the road which was great. Other than that we were travelling back and firth to the competition. If you like a luxury feeling accommodation with everything you need on hand in a beautiful setting, then this is the house for you.
