It is a great 3 bedroom Condo/villa with a small but nice pool. I would give 4.5 rating but no such choice on TA. let's start with Pros
Pros, fairly new villa, right on ocean, excellent views. Plenty of room in each bedroom, also each bedroom and the common area comes with nice bathrooms. Beds have good mattresses, and bedding not a lot of places do. The management company was very helpful we have requested a crib for one of our kids they have provided one for us at no additional cost. The guest relations manager Bancroft was very helpful when something was broken like a toilet or we lock ourselves out of the safe he would send service right away. Also, they could recommend places to eat or entertain locally. Villas are a very close walking distance to two nice beaches and a very nice Ffryes Beach its literally 2 min drive. You can watch sunsets right from your balcony/patio and or beach. its a gated area so you have some sense of security, from our experience people are nice and very accommodating.
Cons, small parking lot employees tend to park so its get crowded quickly, I'm sure in the busy season employees cant park there regardless for that many villas kind of small parking. Pool on the patio can use different tiles, kids and my parents in law were slipping all the time very prone to accident. A dining table can use chairs instead of lounge loveseats, very uncomfortable to eat when you sinking in one.
In general small touches to this unit will make it solid 5. My family would definitely get back to stay there. I recommend this place to anyone who plans Antigua vacation. Thanks to management for making our stay a pleasant one.
Fifty one weeks a year I live a pretty modest life style. But one week a year we like to travel to the Caribbean and live large. Antigua and this condo fit the bill perfectly. Very private, terrific view, and wonderful sunsets. Condo sleeps 6 but very comfortable for just two people as well. Nice kitchen, well appointed. Easy to work with the owner and manager to set up the trip, check in, check out, etc. This is also a gated community so it felt very safe (not that it's a big concern on Antigua.) Lots of restaurants and a grocery story close by. Keep in mind the Master is on the 3rd level, make sure stairs are not an issue for you or anyone in your party. If you want to live like a rock star rent Tamarind Hills 4B.
It's the first time visiting Antigua, and it wont be the last, the villa was fantastic, love it. The beach was breath taking the pool couldn't get enough of it.
Darin the driver was a lovely guy, took us where ever we wanted to go and always on time. (Thanks Darin)
Will definitely visit again!
I recently visited Tamarind Hills with my family, it was our first trip to Antigua, and it was amazing! When we arrived at the airport we were met by Ira, the taxi driver that the resort had sent us. He went above and beyond to cater to our needs! He drove us everywhere we needed to go and gave so much history of the island! The airport in San Juan lost one of our bags, and Ira not only contacted the airport in Antigua every day, he also went and picked it up for us! Meeting Ira was a blessing for us during our stay! The Villa that we stayed in was breathtaking! Pictures can't even begin to do it justice. From each room, to the pool, everything was perfect for us! Thank you Tamarind Hills for our wonderful stay!!
We found Tamarind Hills to be a very good location for us. It is approximately 30 minutes away from the airport on the southwest side of the island. We had 2, 16 year old girls with us, our good friends from the UK, and my wife and me. The villa was the right size for all of us to move around comfortably. The ocean water is amazing - I was in the green waters within an hour of arrival. The splash pool did give us a place to enjoy each afternoon upon returning from the beaches. There is not a beach at Tamarind Hills - you need to travel by car to Darkwood Beach (you can swim to Darkwood, too) which is less than a mile away or another nearby beach at Jolly Harbour.
