We visited Wine Quay bar the last time we were in Porto and were keen to return given how much we enjoyed the food and wine. I am pleased to say that its still as good and now slightly larger which is good news as you stand more chance of getting a table (its not possible to book).
The approach is really simple - the menu only consists of a small selection of very good meats, cheeses and fish along with fabulous crusty bread. We ordered a couple of different types of goats cheese, some chorizo, fabulous sardines, olives, pickled peppers and lots of crusty bread and this, along with a couple of bottles of Douro red.
You can sit outside and look over the Douro river or just inside and still have great views. The service from the team was good and the bill came to 80 euros which included two bottles of wine.
A really lovely evening and simple but great food and wine.
