Just before our journey and holiday to Porto,Portugal I researched on Trip Advisor places to vist and eat .
WINE QUAY BAR received outstanding reviews and recommendations therefore, it went on my list. WE arrived in Porto on May 14th and on May 15th we went searching for this gem of an establishment. It is an intimate Mediterranean/Portuguese tappas bar overlooking the Dourmo Rivera. Our waitress Luisa was absolutely charming. She made recommendations and seated us inside the intimate seating area and assured us when there is availability in the outdoors area,she would inform us even though there were 3 other customers waiting. SHE didn't forget US!
The wine list is quite extensive and the warm bread,olive oil,variety of olives and a creamy block cheese definitely complimented our wine.
I inquired if Moises or Fillipa ,the owners were available to share the history surrounding Quay Wine Bar. Though they were not available at the present time,Luisa accommodated us with her knowledge of the history. She pleasantly did and added that the owners would be around at a later time. WELL, Moises did come by and Luisa made it a point to inform us that he was there.Such a gracious host is he, I totally recommend couples or groups of friends to visit this lovely jewel by the river.
OBRIGADO Wine Quay Bar from new friends from NYC!

We visited this little gem of a place last week and were impressed by everything from the knowledgeable and friendly staff to the fantastic selection of wines and the lovely food ( breads,cheeses, chorizo, spicy cold tuna )
The staff were amazing and nothing too much trouble. We sat just inside and still enjoyed the amazing view. Would definitely recommend and visit next time we are there.
