Our tour guide Nona picked us up on time from our hotel. He provided us with lots of information and stories from all the stops along the way. The off roading at the top of the island for several kilometres added to the excitement of the tour. The stop for a buffet lunch ( additional cost ) was well worth it. We saw some traditional Portugese song, music and dance. If you wanted to you could stomp on some grapes the traditional way to produce the grape juice. The food and drinks ( wine, beer, water and coffee ) were tasty and plentiful. Nona treated us with a traditional poncha drink. When weather and road closures made some of the stops unavailable, Nona took us to other interesting locations. We had a great day and would highly recommend.
