We have been twice this year, and on both occasions our requested table outdoors was missed, and our greeting was disinterested, bordering on aggressive.
The reason we visited the second time was because the food is actually very good, and is certainly very reasonably priced. Scabbard fish and Lamb Shank would be our recommendations, and if you can see beyond the tone and quality of the "welcome" it is worth a visit. Indeed, several of the ordinary waiters were very pleasant. Easily remedied, I think.

Food covered in grease ,
Chose the grilled swordfish , smothered in oil as was the vegetables .
Husband chose mixed meats which was fatty and greasy .
Disappointed after I thought we would have a nice meal .
Sat outside . We felt as though we were sat in a parking bay .
We won’t return.

Lovely welcome. Food cooked very nicely and tasted very fresh, excellent value for money. The soup very tasty and lovely grilled fish. Highly recommend.

This hidden gem is an old favourite and it never fails to impress. Once again the experience was Excellent from start to finish! The staff are welcoming courteous and always on hand to advise! This evening I selected an old favourite and really enjoyed the meat mixed grill with chips and an excellent salad. Evo, the brilliant Head Waiter recommended as an accompaniment, a really deep bodied Douro Red wine - which was really lovely! My wife had the mussels cooked in white wine, again with chips. The mussels were large, plentiful and very very tasty!
We finished the meal with two strong black coffees! We booked to go again and would recommend this restaurant , often full of locals, to anybody!

Have not been back for a few years but this time had several nice lunches.
Food is very good as lv the service . As it is also a wine shop it is easy to select from their stock and accept a small corkage charge to have with the meal .
Would certainly recommend this venue for a nice meal .
