The Obidos Village is a charming old world village. Left as is from century ago it is a beautiful stop for a visit.

This was a pit stop with a group tour and we arrived early morning and had the opportunity to enjoy the town before the crowds arrived. It is very enjoyable for photographers so bring your camera. The morning light and placement of flower pots and art work displayed is perfection.

Really quaint old town within castle walls. Loved the atmosphere and little cobbled streets. People extremely friendly. Go off the Main Street and visit the old jail which is now a bar and has old medieval helmets and weapons. Some good restaurants but may need to book in advance as they do get busy. Try the Ginja, found best one for sale in the old jail.

Obidos was a lovely old town high on a hill. Every thing is uphill, but worth the effort. There are many restaurants, gift shops, bars and a bakery. The churches are interesting, but the most intriguing is the old wall. You can walk all around the top of the wall on a ledge, but not for those scared of heights. We enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of this little town, walk the alleyways and explore.
