What an amazing little find just off the main shopping district in Lisbon city centre.
The smell of cheese hits you when you walk in - be warned! But it’s absolutely worth it.
Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful service. We were a little indecisive about which wines to choose etc. But we we’re made to feel at ease and we’re offered samples of the wine before we bought which was great!
Probably had one of the best bottle of white wine I’ve ever tried.
The sausage and cheese mezzo board was incredible, offering only Portuguese produce from small suppliers, this stuff is like liquid gold! We only wish we could have taken some back to the UK. You are unable to source these cheeses outside of Portugal (or so we we’re told).
Which only added to the experience of the place.
The winery is built around a 16th century water system now used as an interesting and striking feature of the place.
When we arrived all but one table was reserved so I would consider making a booking before arriving. We went late afternoon on a Saturday.
We would love to return if ever back in Lisbon!
