We have just returned from Lisbon and our stay was made perfect by the choice of hotel. The staff could not do enough for us and always with a smile. The breakfasts were exceptional, particularly the pastries. The location is very good but if you are elderly we would recommend you buy a ticket to use the Santa Justa lift - it's quite a steep climb otherwise. The lift is close to the hotel and goes down into the main shopping area and is very convenient.
The hotel is immaculately clean and the bed was comfy with no shortage of pillows. There were robes and slippers which added to the comfort.
We would stay there again and are happy to recommend it to others.

Room tip: Our room on floor three had a small balcony.

Really enjoyed our recent 5 night stay. Hotel is usefully located for Baixa-Chiado metro and Rossio station, next to Carmo convent and around 10 minutes walk from Praca do Comercio. All hotel staff we encountered were professional, friendly, spoke excellent English and had loads of useful information about transport, attractions and restaurants. Our room (408) was comfortable, quiet and had a view of the castle. Free wi-fi in the rooms and public areas. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and the hotel delivered sparkling wine & chocolate-covered strawberries, along with a welcome letter, on our first night. Good buffet-style breakfast and the hotel restaurant also operates in the evenings, although we ate out every night at a great variety of local cafes and restaurants. We wouldn't hesitate to re-book if we return to Lisbon and will recommend to family & friends.

Room tip: Room 408 was comfortable, quiet and had a view of the castle.

My wife and I visited Lisbon for the first time after my business meetings in Madrid and found this hotel a very good value for the price we paid.

It had the important things that mattered to frequent travelers like us:
- Location: it was walking distance to metro, lift, Rossio, churches etc.
- Service: we had excellent service from Sara to help us with booking tours, taxis and directions (we were lucky to be upgraded to a city view room at the 5th floor and we only paid standard rates)
- WiFi: the signal was strong and it was good for maximum 3 devices
- Breakfast: the food was a good spread (we love the mangoes!)
- The rooms were clean, modern and other amenities were a nice touch such as a safe, TV, robes, slippers and complimentary water were available.

Some of the watch-outs are:
- The rooms are relatively small
- Going back to the hotel will be a hike (need energy if you have luggages)
- The configuration of the shower and bathroom and knobs will look strange given the space

Overall, this is a very good hotel to stay - great value that is not expensive, but not also cheap (Euro 150+ per night). We will definitely stay here again. Enjoy the journey . . .

Just back from a short stay in Lisbon. The Lisboa Carmo Hotel was a great choice. It's in an ideal location for central Lisbon. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Very good buffet breakfast that sets you up for a day's sightseeing.

Stayed here for three nights and we couldn't have asked for a better place. Great location it is close to the metro, tram, elevator, great restaurants, bars, shops. Good concierge service. Rooms are very nice, clean. Comfortable bed and pillows! Breakfast was included. I would stay here again for sure!
