This is a beautiful and central square in Lisbon.
Having visited it during the Eurovision Song Contest, we were expecting it to be more festive, which, alas - it was not.

This is another great space to watch people in Lisbon. The parque tiles on the ground add to the character of the place.

We stayed in Rossio square in May (2018) and there were vendors set up with many options for local foods to try as well as sangria vendors. The square was a fun and vibrant place to spend the evening. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. People watching is fun as well!

We passed through a few times en route to the sights. Have to say the jacarandas are stunning in June despite the fact they gave me hay fever.!!! Square is full of life

Rossio Square can be regarded as one of the busiest public square in Lisbon. There are many shops and restaurants around. On the square, there are fountains and statues and all the visitors come here to take photos prior to their shopping and eating activities. During our travel to this area, we find that the surrounding Jacaranda trees are blooming well in purple color which makes the photos more attractive.
