The most individual, roomy, delightfully and eccentrically decorated apartment yet stayed in. It's proximity to supermarket, transport, untouristy town, beach are a real bonus. However, we experienced more stress and disruption than hoped for on holiday due to a booking glitch. Our booking was accepted and confirmed so we went ahead and bought flights. Then we were told that there had been a mistake and the apartment was unavailable for the final night of our previously-confirmed booking. An alternative was offered, and paid for, but it still meant that we had to pack and move twice in the last twenty-four hours of our week's holiday which ate into the time and energy we had to enjoy it.
Sad. This holiday is recommended with the proviso that you double-check that the booking is a firm one before proceeding further.
Lovely house full of character, very close to bus, train, beach & restaurants & a short train ride to Cascais or Lisbon. Beautiful beaches close by.
It was a pleasure to walk up to the front door of this characterful property, and pretend to live here for a few days. Inside the rooms are full of color and interesting artifacts. It is comfortable inside with three bedrooms and plenty of space. The location is great, just a 10 minute or so walk to the train station of Parede, from where it is possible to explore all of the lovely beaches and promenades up the coast to Cascais. The house can also be reached easily by public transport from Lisbon airport We really enjoyed our stay.
