Cosy and elegant boutique hotel very well located, close to all the bars, shops and restaurants of Bairro Novo and also very close to the beach.
It's in a charming historical building which apparently has been a hotel for decades (the hotel history is interestlingly presented throughout the halls with photos and newspaper clippings).
We particularly liked the hotel bar, felt like being in an elegant living room with great sofas and lounge chairs, perfect for having a drink and a snack at the end of the day. Also, we were surprised by the very reasonable prices for a hotel bar (a gin tonic for 7.50 and ham/cheese toast for 3.50).
The deluxe penthouse rooms with balconies are very spacious and comfortable, with good acoustic isolation. We very much enjoyed the bathroom ammenities and fluffy robes.
Parking is paid in some streets but you can still find free parking a few streets away from the hotel, or reserve the parking at the nearby parking lot.
We parked the car about 2 blocks from the hotel at check in and only used it again to leave because we very much enjoyed being within walking distance to pretty much everywhere.
For eating we definetly recommend the Ye Ye Vegetarian Restaurant about 200m from the hotel and Al Dente Italian Restaurant at Buarcos (2 km).
Plan to visit again and definetly recommend!More
