We stayed mid October for 4 nights. For the price, this hotel is perfect. It was clean, the staff were polite and friendly and it was close enough to town for us to walk. There are plenty of restaurants in the town, but there is also a small cafe by the pool with sandwiches and toasties. We didn't use the shuttle bus however an Uber to the beach was only around 4-6 euros.
Can't fault this hotel at all, especially Alexandre on reception who was so kind and helpful during our stay. Would definitely return!

So pleased to report that my wife and I stayed at this hotel for 8 days in October. The room was basic but very comfortable, and the bathroom had a large round window in This was not in line with the bath and shower, thankfully. The only thing missing in the bathroom were bath and sink plugs. They supply only basic show gel and shampoo and a tiny bar of soap. Rooms were cleaned every day and beds made up. The shower fixing was loose, but the water was hot and plentiful at all times. Air conditioning was useful as it was 26c and 30c during our stay. I developed a knack of closing the windows so that the air conditioning stayed on. The television in the room has plenty of channels, BBC Entertainment and Sky and a few others in English as well. Some Portuguese channels have English speaking films and tv shows with subtitles. It was so lovely we only watched Sky TV when waking, The floors are in a special varnished wood, that we have seen before in Portugal hotels before.

Breakfast was good as well. Some cooked goodies, like scrambled egg and sausages. Cold meat and cheese. Cakes and pastries. Juice and chilled water, Tea and coffee machine. Cereal, and yoghurts. There was also plenty of fruit to eat, Fresh PIneapple, tinned peaches and fruit salad. Marmalade, Honey and Jams. The food was replenished regularly as well. The restaurant is downstairs in what I think was the basement and you walk past their indoor pool to get to it. We didn't use the indoor pool but it has concrete steps that fill quite a portion of it, and you would have to be careful not to bash your legs when swimming in it. A section is there also for young swimmers as well.

The Outdoor Pool is excellent and in a separate compound a short walk from the hotel. It is well kept - saline and unheated. We had some lovely swims there.

The hotel does not do meals in the afternoon or evening. They did a glass of wine, red or white for 1 euro a glass, when we were there. Beer £1.50 a bottle. Out of season the man on reception doubles as the barman. All of the reception staff were very friendly and helpful at all times.

A real bonus here is the courtesy bus that makes several trips back and forth to the town near the harbour, and also to the fabulous beach there. Beware there are a lot of steps to get down to it. If you walk further down into the shops you will find a road that slopes down which will make getting on to the beach easier.

A short walk from the hotel is the Continentale supermarket, Lidls, Pino Doce and McDonald's! We went to the Continentale but did not sample the other establishments. There is a restaurant close by, and a cafe a few doors down to the hotel. The cafe is good value for money and the owner works very hard all day and evening as well.

A surprisingly good hotel with comfortable beds. It should be graded higher than 2 star, but apparently, that is only because they do not have a separate life for staff. There are lifts for guests though. A home from home almost!

Stayed here for along weekend, 6th/10th October. Rooms cleaned daily. Breakfast was adequate for the rating of the hotel. Has an indoor pool, never saw anyone using it though. Outdoor pool was clean and most days you had it to yourself. The weather was a little hotter than normal, in the 90s most days. There is a regular shuttle takes you to Portimao or to the beach. We always got a taxi back as the last bus to the hotel is about 6pm, cost about 5/7 euros.
Although the hotel is a few miles from the beach I would use it again, try the small bar next to the outdoor pool, like stepping back in time, the locals very friendly but noisy when playing cards, their sandwiches are brilliant and cheap.
And finally may I take the opportunity to thank the best receptionist I have come across on my travels, Mr Alexander, you are a credit to the hotel.

we came here early september . really hot . air con works well even a bit cold at night with it on all the time ,you must make sure patio door closed else air con will not work . the reception staff very helpful and friendly , the bar was closed when we arrived at midnight and i had no euros but the nice man let us have two drinks and told me i could pay him when i next saw him on reception . they also re set air con as it did not work when we arrived . -no problem . not close to beach but we enjoyed the local surroundings and a really good local restaurant very close ,a1 food .breakfast good but no english tea bags so we purchase some in middle (15 min walk away . swimming pool very nice and no one there most of the time so we kind of had our own private pool ! the cafe next to the pool sells nice rolls and a pint of lager at 2.10 euros !! if you want touristy beach front and lots of people and gloss not the best place . the main beach is packed solid . not nice . bus to beach good . would defy go back at the price . loved it ,but we not fussy .if you are then you may be disappointed .
