Really pretty old town, with all the white washed buildings. A really enjoyable day wandering round in the sunshine.

The old town is well worth exploring on foot. Spot the statue of Thomas Aquinas and the stocks nesting above. You can hear Fado guitar in the tourist information centre and take photos from the roof of the interesting cathedral bell formation and get closer to the storks.

We were here a day before Easter. So we got the oppirtunity to taste the marzipan which is somewhat of a specialty of the place. Lots of restaurants for lunch and shops for a bit of souvenir shopping

Can walk and discover little side streets, lovely restaurants and lots of historic buildings. Spent an afternoon in the old town, highly recommend a visit.

We wandered around the old town twice, it is clean and in good repair. Worth a visit for the architecture and typical, layout of town square
