Our family of 4 enjoyed two weeks holiday in Carvoeiro,making the most of the excellent facilities provided at the house , including the large share swimming pool that we had mostly to ourselves. The house is situated in a lovely quiet area sited about a 20 minute pleasant walk (down hill ) from the village centre ,although one would need to be reasonably fit to enjoy this daily . Parking would be an issue in the village if a car was the option . Taxis are cheap by all accounts . The local supermarket called , Intermarche was a 10 minute drive away , with a cosmopolitan choice and excellent bakery all at very reasonable prices .. . The local beach in a nearby cove was gorgeous with a quiet family atmosphere and therapeutic swimming in clean water . Top marks
