We had a wonderful stay on 6 Aug at Palm Valley Inn. We are a family of 6 and sometimes difficult to find family accommodation in one Unit. The family room has three rooms, large kitchen and lounge. There is also a veranda with a braai place. The unit was very clean ans another whow was a bathroom with bath and shower. Thank you also Christelle for your friendly assistance.

My husband and I stayed here on a Wednesday night. It is in the old part of town, but I embrace the African-ness of South Africa!! The apartment was fresh and clean. The linen crisp white, the bed warm and comfortable. Only thing missing was soap and shampoo in the bathroom. I would stay here again without a doubt! Highly recommended for value for money, as long as you bring your own soap.

The apartments are just fine, great stay for a weekend out. But not good at all for pedestrians. The reception area closes early & the gatekeeper is forever at the bar, one has to wait & knock like a maniac to get in. We had to soak in the rain for 20 minutes by the gate & second day we had to wait for 30 minutes. The wifi never worked as well.

We visited Palm Valley Inn over the weekend of 5 - 7 February 2016. Once you reach the Inn, you feel a bit underwhelmed as you realise the type of area that you are in. Perceptions aside, we proceed to check-in. We were pleasantly surprised with the interior however, looked nothing like the pictures we saw.

The rooms are out-dated and the technology isn't up to scratch either. We were explicitly told not to play any music, which surprised us as we were there for a birthday weekend for one of our friends. We did not find the equipping of the unit particularly helpful. The air-conditioner was not effective in the large space. The dishes were inadequate and utensils in need of replacement. The fridge struggled to cool our drinks which didn't help our perception of the place either.

Coupled with the fact that 2 couples had to share 1 bathroom which did not havea key to lock the door, it didnt bode well.

The bar was a nice touch though, overlooking the pool however not enough pool-loungers for all guests.

All-in-all, the accomodation was not bad if you are looking for the bare essentials. For what we got, I think the place is quite over-priced. We paid R2900 for the weekednd or 4 people.

I suggest looking at other places but if you are only looking for a place to sleep, this is not the place.

Good luck

Room tip: I don't see the point of this place. Too expensive and not worth the money paid.
