We booked this accommodation because our flight arrived in Tahiti at 12:30 am and the hotels in town do not accept guests at this time of night. It was raining heavily when we arrived, but Marceline cheerfully helped us to settle in at our spacious room with accompanying bathroom. The decor was typical Polynesian and festive. There was ample cupboard space and a day bed as well. The shower had plenty of hot water and the sink was in an alcove nearby. Everything was exceptionally clean and fresh. After a welcomed sleep, we ventured onto the terrace and enjoyed a typical continental breakfast with fresh breads and jam. Our host then drove us to the airport for a small fee for our flight to Moorea. We paid in Euros that we had prearranged on the phone. The lodge was good value and we wished that we could have stayed longer.
Unfortunately the transportation options are limited from the airport at this time of night. We paid an outrageous sum for a prearranged transfer that had to be private, given the distance and hour. Having later used taxis, this would be a better option
if the property is within their service area. Our host likely could make suggestions.More
