We stayed at Marceline's place for two nights and enjoyed our stay very much. She was very helpful, provided information about the surroundings, but also how to take the bus into Papeete. Buses run every 20-30 mins or so (no defined schedule), but watchout that the last buses leave Papeete already at 5pm. Later than that you'll need to walk or take a taxi home.
The lodge is located in a residential neighborhood, very quiet and no street noise. A bakery is 2 mins away and a huge Carrefour supermarket just 5 mins.
Breakfast was nice and wifi worked very well. We'd stay again.

This small family-run lodge is in a residential section of greater Papeete. Owners are extremely friendly and willing to cater to guests' needs. For an additional fee, they picked up and delivered us to airport, took us on sightseeing tours around the area and shared their typical Polynesian meals with us. Rooms are good, with all basic amenities except shampoo/conditioner. A/C is charged extra but nights are cooler, so A/C is not really necessary. Local fast food available within short walking distance.
