Heard about this place for a few years but never managed to get a table as it’s one of those places you need to book a couple weeks in advance, anyhow got lucky with my inside connection and dinner date! Located on one of the oldest 11 century Bridges in Bruges. Wonderful decor, unpretentious and yet sophisticated. Had the feeling of sitting in an old chateau’s kitchen somewhere in the Provence. Had that worn in feeling, simple but disguises a certain sophistication, relaxed chic!

Food, well here I am at a loss to explain what we ate, small portions but wickedly sophisticated! Chef Bruno did his best to explain each serving but well, language and obvious depth and sophistication of ingredients was a bit much to take in, obviously the wine played a small part here!

Amazing, deep, cornucopia of intrinsic flavors made my palette simply explode in ways it rarely does. Chef Bruno exceptionally talented, wonderful host and clearly passionate about food! To make things perfect simply Devine company one of those unicorns..
Highly recommended and worth a visit to Bruges if only for a meal and meeting a very Passionate Chef!

This is a cozy little place where the theme is around using local ingredients - even leaves which were growing on a wall opposite. We had a 3 course 40 euro lunch menu, no choice given, but substitution done for allergies/vegetarians/etc. Very good quality food, decent sized portions, though not quite a "wow" factor. Overall excellent value for a tourist place like Bruges, good service, and accommodating to our baby.

Yesterday evening we had a culinar & hospitality experience that, sadly enough, becomes rare, especially in touristic cities. From the "welcome" to the "see you again" everthing was perfect, personal yet professional. The fixed 5-courses menu was a travel through different tastes all interesting and well explained by Bruno, the owner. He told us (I was there with my ver interested 17 yr old son who studies for hotel management in Bruges) how the different ingredients interacted, how certain tastes evoluates and interacts,... Thus we had a splendid evening and even after the Van Tricht cheeses (sorry, Antwerp people are chauvinistic :) ) we didn't feel like over-eaten as every plate was well balanced and never too heavy. In short, we'll be back and will reserve in time as they had to refuse more than 8 people.

Three wonderful appetizers and five even better courses made this four hour dinner a highlight of our Bruges stay. We paired the courses with their wine choices (no skimpy glasses) and our waiter could not have been more helpful. Lobster, monkfish and moroccan style lamb tacos were included in one of the best meals we ever had. While we are not the Zagats, you, too, will not be disappointed!

We booked this to push the boat out a bit for our Wedding Anniversary.
We arrived at 8 pm and left at midnight.....

We opted for their wine recommendations package which was pretty good, and while some were quirky, they did match the courses well.

The sole guy waiting on was excellent and was very friendly, explaining each course with knowledge and enthusiasm.

We enjoyed each course as it came, especially the Monkfish. The only one we would criticise was the Confit Lobster, somewhat chewy surprisingly and too sweet for our tastes.

We'd allowed about 100 euros each for food and drinks which was about right, what we hadn't allowed for was 30 euros for G and T's or 6 euros for a small bottle of water!

Would we go back again? No, it was a nice evening, but there again we would not go back to Bruges again, it's very pretty, but there are lots of other European cities we've yet to visit
