Not on the riverside.. However nearby the restaurants and cafes... Rooms are big enough... You may dine at the hotel if you like.. Breakfast is not rich.. Concierge service is limited. Good both for business and leisure... Recommended...

The picture on the NH Gent website is deceiving. This is a big hotel. Aside from the poor internet connection in the room we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this hotel. Service, hospitality and breakfast buffet was outstanding. We had an executive room and it was spacious and nicely furnished. The hotel held our luggage for us after we checked out so we could do a little more exploring in the area before we left for the airport. There are tons of sites to see and restaurants within easy walking distance from the hotel.

Room Tip: The executive rooms are nice and large.

This hotel is in a great location in the centre of Ghent. When we arrived we were upgraded to a suite - which was a treat. The bed was huge and the suite was the size of a London flat. Breakfast was very nice and we ate it in the courtyard - very civilised.

A very dirty sofa and rotting woodwork in the bathroom is not worthy of a Superior room in a luxury hotel.
No extra gesture to solve the problem, we were UNDERgraded to another room ( which was clean this time but ugly decorated)
On top of that we had to pay for 2 breakfasts and we only took 1.
15 years ago was this hotel top of the bill, not anymore..
