Description: Founded in 1987, Restobières specializes in typical beer cooking. Concerned about the quality of his products, Alain Fayt creates exclusively Belgium home cooking : bloempanch (brussels black pudding), bread with beer, Beef stew with Rodenbach, Rabbit with Prunes and Geuze Girardin, Kip-kap, pâté with Rochefort, speculoos ice cream, chocolate mousse with Hercules Stout,... Located in the heart of the Marolles, Restobières is the ideal stop to discover the brussels culinary heritage. Discover the pleasure of tasting regional cooking while enjoying a Belgian craft beer in a place full of nostalgia. The atmosphere of a century and the love of beer have created this original place. The gathering of crystal trays, boxes bearing the effigy of the royal family, coffee mills of our grandmothers, and enamel plates creates the decor of the restaurant.

We visited the restaurant on the Saturday night before Easter and it was a very good experience all considered but for the waitress who was not really friendly.. It took some 5min to figure out the beer and the food and she was kind of pissed and afterwards with the tip (more than 10%) she didn't even say thanks! All and all the food was delicious (waterzooie and rabbit we ordered) and they both came well presented and very tasty! Go and you won't feel disappointed!!

Our party of 8 were recommended this delicious place by a friendly Belgian and it met all our hopeful expectations. When seated it felt like you were in the most perfect local family village restaurant, full of buzz and vintage items.
All our food was cooked perfectly and tasty, especially the duck and cherries. The service was quick and efficient, with a smile.
It would be wise to book.

The place is amazing, so charming with vintage objects everywhere. Staff were gentle and service was nice. The best part about it is the food, price is reasonable and beers were great! An unforgeatable dinner, I recommend mainly if you like beers and tradicional food.

We ate here our last night in Brussels. We were thinking about returning to a restaurant from earlier in our vacation but our concierge insisted we finish here. He had not given us a bad suggestion during the week we spent in Brussels so we trusted him fully. The restaurant is in a small cellar and is very cozy. The staff is so friendly and the evening was just a perfect ending. The mussels here rivaled our best during the trip. The foie gras was scrumptious. My mouth waters just thinking of the meal! The beer selection is spectacular!!!

We stopped off for lunch in Brussels before heading to Bruges and wanted somewhere nice and but near the station to eat and have a few drinks. We stumbled on Restbieres and it was brilliant! I had mussels and my boyfriend had the 2 course set lunch menu. The portions were big and very reasonably priced and they had a great selection on beers to choose from. The waitresses were really nice and very helpful.

I would definitely recommend for a nice lunch in a relaxed environment.
