Sub average tourist food priced as a Michelin star restaurant.
We had a business lunch there which ended up lasting more or less 2 hours.
The place was half empty but anyways food came out a good hour after having ordered it and only after
several complaints. Bread came
out in a “swift” 15 minutes together with the drinks.
Waiters were very rude and didn’t really do much to solve the situation in the meantime.
When we ordered food (table of 9 people) we were asked to order as many same things as possible with the waiter validating our requests. This for me was already a warning sign that things were about to get even uglier.
In fact they did when we found out that only a few of the menu options were available (or at least that is what we were told) so our choice in the end was limited to a handful of dishes.
I had the entrecôte, ok but nothing special. The fries
were not at all what you would expect in Belgium and really mediocre.
Others at the table had the traditional mussels to keep things as easy as possible for the kitchen and two people had the only fish option out of 4-5 listed on the menu. Menu by the way is on a tablet so when sitting outside on a nice sunny day it doesn’t let you read anything.
Only good thing about this place
is that in the summertime
you can sit outside and eat in one of Europe’s most beautiful squares.
