Sub average tourist food priced as a Michelin star restaurant.

We had a business lunch there which ended up lasting more or less 2 hours.
The place was half empty but anyways food came out a good hour after having ordered it and only after
several complaints. Bread came
out in a “swift” 15 minutes together with the drinks.
Waiters were very rude and didn’t really do much to solve the situation in the meantime.

When we ordered food (table of 9 people) we were asked to order as many same things as possible with the waiter validating our requests. This for me was already a warning sign that things were about to get even uglier.
In fact they did when we found out that only a few of the menu options were available (or at least that is what we were told) so our choice in the end was limited to a handful of dishes.

I had the entrecôte, ok but nothing special. The fries
were not at all what you would expect in Belgium and really mediocre.
Others at the table had the traditional mussels to keep things as easy as possible for the kitchen and two people had the only fish option out of 4-5 listed on the menu. Menu by the way is on a tablet so when sitting outside on a nice sunny day it doesn’t let you read anything.

Only good thing about this place
is that in the summertime
you can sit outside and eat in one of Europe’s most beautiful squares.

We where with 4 people and we had a wonderful diner.
The chef came in person to present us his nicest suggestions.
We took first a soup with seafood and raviolis it was absolutely delicious.
As a main course everybody took fish and we received the nicest preparation and a beautiful presentation of or meals.
The place is exceptional.
The inside has been renewed with a lot of taste and class but the outside on the terrace is when it’s warm of course an amazing place to be because you are on the nicest terrace of Europe.
The service was excellent and the price of this exceptional moment remains reasonable for a very high level restaurant that I recommend for a very good moment in Brussels.

Location is everything with a great view over the Grand Place. Logic that prices are higher but would expect better quality food when paying the premium price for it. Service wise nothing to complain about, but doubt I would come again ...

The restaurant looks lovely and the décor was just what we wanted for a special meal. Menus were computers pads, which would have been great if they actually worked. They kept defaulting from English to French.
The staff were very nice but seemed new to the job and lacking in experience.
Orders eventually taken, wine mix up but eventually sorted.
Six of us were dining but only five starters arrived. When queried they did question us! It took too long so we decided to forget the sixth starter.Main meals arrived and again we received five instead of six. The same person who did not get a starter, also missed out on her main. The manager was very apologetic, but the night was spoilt. This is an expensive restaurant and the mistakes were basic. We did not feel we were compensated for the problems and left very upset.

Ages since I have written a review but this place has prompted me to do so. Never had such a bad meal. Expensive, poor quality ingredients. Restaurant itself beautifully renovated and staff were friendly. Presentation of food was good but the taste of overcooked pasta with sauce was awful. Cesar salad simplest thing to make but 22€ for a scooped out iceberg lettuce filled with tasteless strips of rubbery chicken, cherry tomatoes, few croutons, chopped lettuce and dry due to a lack of sauce which tasted dreadful anyway.
We dine out regularly. Cannot think of any meal I have criticised in such a negative manner.
We did comment and were offered a digestive which we declined. No suggestion of a reduction was made ( or requested) so we just paid and left.
