We had been at a friend's house and were walking around looking for somewhere to eat and all the usual places we knew and liked were full. Wandering past Pasta e Basta my husband suggested that we go in. I have usually dismissed this restaurant as a tourist trap, but you know what? I was pleasantly surprised!
The singing was very sweet, the waiters and waitresses looked like they liked their jobs and we were very entertained. We came in just after the first sitting had begun so we were informed politely how much time we had and that we might not be able to linger over our meal, but that was fine as we were quite tired. The service was attentive, the food was good enough, the salad bar was very nice, We were comfortable, we were served well, we were entertained well. Everyone sung along with the songs and the atmosphere was congenial.
I have nothing bad to say about the restaurant at all. In fact, if I have to entertain family or guests from out of town where conversation is sometimes difficult I may well bring them here. A congenial atmosphere does wonders!
We left in a much better mood than when we entered, despite paying more for our meal that we had intended when we first set out to look for a place to have dinner.
There is nothing more positive to say than that! Bravo.
