Very wide waterway where the big ships come in, ferries across to the north side, some dramatic modern architecture.

We went as a group and had a lovely young lady serve us she gave us some great recommendations so I would certainly recommend asking the staff on their favourites

Never fails to impress how well organised this place is. Plenty of staff; separate area for food; lots of seating inside & out. great beers too. A must-go to place.

A visit to Het IJ is a must go destination if your a fan of great craft beers and enjoy the architecture of this splendid city.
If there is one image that comes to mind when you think about Holland its a windmill and this fantastic windmill known as The De Gooyer Windmill, built in 1814 and at over 26 metres high it's Holland's tallest windmill and located at the base of the windmill you will find the brilliant Brouwerij t'Ij which brews some of the tastiest and most innovative beers in Amsterdam so two great reasons to visit this great site.
I love to visit Het IJ and get a taster set of their beers and just chill out in this unique building.
Very easy to locate on Funenkade, tram number 14 to stop Pontanusstraat drops you off practically by the windmill.

nice experience if you are visiting Amsterdam. located under a traditional Dutch windmill, definitely nice to see, nice variety of beers and snacks that go nicely with your beer. you can have even a tour of the brewery to see how beer is being made. try the tasting combo, a selection of a few f the beers in a smaller size, that gives you the chance to get an idea of all different flavors.
