My wife and I are on our 4th day at Mauro Mansion, and we are so satisfied. The hotel is just lovely and brimming with history. We were met by Abbey who was wonderful in checking us in. As for the stairs, yes they are slightly steep. But they became my extra work out for the day. Room 32 has a great canal view and is very comfortable. Plus a great deep tub in the bathroom. So close to the Central Station and De Wallen but quiet at night. You can walk to must museums if you want. All in all you can not beat staying at Mauro Mansion.

STAY HERE! Mauro Mansion is very close to the train station. We stayed in room 12, ground floor with a canal view. The bed was comfy and the bathroom had both a shower and separate bath. Even with our room being near the front door and on the ground floor near the canal, noise was not an issue. Breakfast was reasonably priced and delicious! The common area is stocked with wine, beer, water, and snacks; all at reasonable prices. I would highly recommend this gem!

Room Tip: Room 12 on the ground floor

We recently stayed at the Mauro Mansion for the fourth time. Our first stay was in 2011. Each time we have found our plans taking us to Amsterdam since then, we've stayed at the Mauro Mansion. It has the perfect location and ticks all the boxes for us. One block from the central train station makes the transportation logistics so simple. The hotel is quiet and comfortable. The owners are always helpful and accommodating. You should be aware that the Mauro Mansion is in an historic canal house so it has very steep stairs. Someone has always been there, however, to take our luggage up and down those stairs so it's never been a problem at all. To have a room with windows facing an Amsterdam canal is just very special. We see no reason to look further than the Mauro Mansion for excellent lodging in beautiful Amsterdam.

Booked this online, never having been to Amsterdam and was very happy. Great location, clean, friendly, helpful staff, and reasonable price. There’s no elevator, stairs are a little steep and winding but they’ll carry your bags up for you. You should be comfortable walking up and down stairs if you stay here. Wasn’t a problem for us, we loved it!

I've been to Amsterdam half a dozen times and Mauro Mansion is by far the best hotel I've stayed at. The location is perfect. Only five minutes from the Red Light District and the train station. Dam square is only a little bit further. You walk to all the fun tourist attractions, great shopping, and fun nightlife in only a few minutes.

The rooms are superb. They have great character, good size, refrigerators, immaculately clean, and large updated bathrooms. The breakfast is superb with free coffee 24/7. They also have great perks like the honesty bar, free drinks in your room, and a DVD library if you need to relax.

The staff is amazing! Barry and Marcell are incredible hosts with lots of great relationships and information for having a great time in Amsterdam. Their cooking is great and the breakfast price is the best you will find in the city.

This is the only hotel we would stay at in Amsterdam. You won't be disappointed!!
