I visited the Lake Eland zip line with 9 friends and it was a great activity to do in a large group. Although it may initially seem like quite an expensive endeavor, we were fully occupied, entertained and dazzled by the incredible views, for just over 2 hours. For some, it may be an exhilarating experience but our group found it to be a relaxing afternoon, zig-zagging across the gorge. Bear in mind, we were lucky with the weather. Clear skies together with only a mild breeze made the trip all the more special.

The course is made up of many different zip lines starting from shorter ones, closer to the ground and progressing to longer trips at escalating heights as you get to grips with it. It does not require a great amount of skill to do and the only effort I had to put in was occasionally reeling myself along the last few meters if my momentum didn't quite get me to the other side.

The most heart-stopping moment of the trip was the trip back up to the top in a 4x4 vehicle which was at a dizzying angle albeit completely safe.

I would certainly recommend it.

We visited here as an activity for part of our honeymoon as we enjoy doing adrenaline activities! The zip line was amazing, around 15 different lines make up a 14km trip, the longest section was 680m over a large gorge. Our guides were friendly and fun and we even saw giraffes! Well worth a visit with great views. Simon and Gemma Markland

what a wonderful place to visit and be one with nature. the staff were all very helpful and friendly and it was an absolute pleasure being there. the roads within the reserve are in a good state and a normal family car manages perfectly. the zip line tour is fabulous and well set out. the suspension bridge can be a bit daunting for those who have a fear of heights but once you are across one realises that the utmost safety has been put in place here and is checked constantly. it is the perfect Day outing venue and has so much to offer for both young and old.

Not a stomach-churning adrenaline experience, good for all the family. I am afraid of heights but had no problem. The lines start off gentle, not too high and easy and peak with a fabulous experience high over the gorge.

Guides were professional and friendly. We had to wait for a short time at the top but there was very little standing about on the trail itself. We we're put in small groups, which again minimised waiting. Safety seems to have been fully considered, but fun definitely not missed.

A wonderful way to spend a couple of hours in beautiful scenery - one of the best things we did in South Africa.
