Being there in December and lying in a jacuzzi on a terrace while looking up to a starlit sky made me sing: "It's the most wonderful time of the year!" This hotel can really be counted as one of my best experiences ever with its big terrace and beautiful view of mountains with a bit of snow.
The room itself is of average size and is decorated in a typically Swiss way. Twin beds comfortable. They also provide soft bathrobes and cute Christmas caps.
Breakfast was sufficient and based on all other good points, I can definitely say I would definitely come again.
The hotel is small - around 3 floors with no elevator. There are also attractions for kids.

The place is may be not the easiest to find, but all worth the while. Your are looking for quiet walks, no entertainment, a grandiose scenery combined with Swiss hopitality? Then this is your place. However, a few kilometers away from City of Davos, so no hustle or bustle. You can book rooms toward the valley or the mountains. I recommend mountains, but really no big difference. Some balconies with hot tub. Must be fun, food excellent, service friendly. Spectacular views, especially in changing weather, the mountains make a great backdrop for any mood and lights.

Room tip: I reccomend view towards the mountains, but no big difference.

If you drive the extra mile (it's a remote location), you get the extra mile in experience. Alpine atmosphere, regional food well cooked, wooden guest rooms, a small zoo for kids. Great hiking and biking trails for all levels

Spent two nights with my family (2 young children age 2 and 5) at the Walserhuus and can strongly recommend it for the following reasons: 1) stunning setting, 2) good food, 3) friendly service, 4) child friendly and 5) good value for money for Swiss standards.

The hotel located at the very end of the picture perfect Sertig valley close by Davos. Traditionally furnished, simple rooms. Very comfortable bed. We stayed in the room named "schellenursli" that has a large terrace with hot tub overlooking the mountains. Very nice restaurant with outside terrace in the summer, good food and a little. Hold corner for you children to play in while you enjoy you after dinner drinks. Very friendly service who made our children feel welcome. The hotel is a typical mountain hotel, so if you are looking for a spa and the full 5 star amenities this hotel is not for you. If on the other hand you are looking for a cozy base in a stunning Swiss valley, you can't go wrong here. It is a short 10 minute drive to Davos from the hotel (there is a regular bus service). Also, they have a romantic grill hut you can rent for dinner (CHF 100) that seats 14 people. We had a fondue dinner there with 3 other families and had a great time.

Room tip: Room called "Schellenursli" has a large terrace with hot tub and a great view of the mountains

We have stayed in many hotels but this is up there as one of the top ever!
We arrived in torrential rain, but our reception could not have been warmer, ok so the hotel is remote, but that's the beauty of it, we found our room on the first floor, spacious beautifully designed and lovely and warm, very large bed with cloud like duvet and pillows, French doors onto private balcony with stunning views down the valley. The public rooms are just as nice, the restaurant is very Swiss, the dinner exceptional, but the breakfast, wow, the greatest choice we have ever seen in the most astounding setting, made all the better by a fall of overnight snow. Heaven at 10,000 feet, one night just wasn't enough and we can't wait to return.
